Funding & Affordability
Designed to Be Low Risk for Schools
We understand that budgets are tight, especially in SEND, SEMH and alternative provision settings. That’s why a core part of DesignAbility Education is actively seeking external funding to support schools. The aim is simple:
To reduce, and where possible remove, the financial barrier to accessing the programme.
How it
works
We work alongside schools to identify and apply for relevant funding opportunities, which may include:
- Grants for SEND and inclusion
- Alternative provision and engagement funding
- Skills, enterprise and employability funding
- Local authority or regional funding streams
- Partnerships with organisations and charities
Where possible, we lead or support the application process to make it manageable for schools.
What Funding Can Support
Funding can be used to cover:
- Equipment (e.g. 3D printers, laser cutters, textiles equipment)
- Programme setup and resources
- Staff training and support
Delivery of the DesignAbility Programme™
What This Means for Schools
- Low financial risk
- Access to specialist equipment and training
- A fully supported programme
- Opportunity to offer something different without stretching budgets
Working Together
Each school is different, so funding routes will vary.
We work collaboratively to:
- Identify the best opportunities
- Align the programme with funding priorities
- Build a strong case for support
Important
While we cannot guarantee funding in every case, our approach is designed to maximise opportunities and reduce upfront costs wherever possible.
